We stayed at a Marriott It may have been their “interpretation” Don’t know I have definitely seen it with sausage. There are different interpretations though. The seafood added can differ depending on who makes it. |

There is a very good seafood restaurant in Gatlinburg, TN called Chesapeake. They have a nice assortment of seafood and fish, including lump crab meat. We ate there last week. We also tried a place in Pigeon Forge which was good. However, the place in PF was out of blue crab meat. Something about the fishermen, I'm not really sure. We ate in some places in VA that said there was a national calamari shortage but we seemed to be able to get it in other restaurants. I suspect the shortages these restaurants "report" are really internal. I do know there are places that are having trouble staffing since the COVID restrictions have been lifted because wage earners would prefer to stay home on unemployment rather than return to work. I didn't like it when Trump started paying the $600 per week to those unemployed from the restrictions and then it was extended which created this whole problem. We saw help wanted signs in most windows in TN. |

We saw help wanted signs in most windows in TN. i never understood what happened with unemployment last March? as a teacher aide, was heading toward spring break when schools shut down. fully expecting to just file for unemployment for that week as usual... like 50-60% regular pay, but better than nothing. then district was able to pay us thru spring break with "homework" training tutorials at home. then we were paid thru the end of school for participating in Zoom sessions with our teachers and kids. i think just having kids (special needs) see us had a positive impact on them. i know it did for me. never got to actually apply for UI until school was over for the summer. by then there were NO state workers to deal with unemployment issues. it literally took until the last few days of december before i saw a penny of benefits i was totally entitled to. actually wrote old-school LETTERS begging for help... to governor, lt governor, state senators/rps of both parties. i never got that extra $600 a week? that was more than i made a week?? don't get me wrong, i did not refuse it. |
