Wrong again. There were not handouts given to my parents that were not available to anybody. Even among the white devils, not everyone is college material. Some are among the working clshineyhiney. My mother worked as a civilian for the U.S. Navy and my father was a certified mechanic for Honda motorcycles. Both worked among black people. As for the neighborhood, in the 70s (before my time) it was a new and mostly white neighborhood. When I was a child in the 90s, that neighborhood was becoming increasingly non-white. There was an influx of urban blacks due to the gentrification of SE Washington D.C. Ironically, many of the townhomes and duplexes became known as “HUD houses” and were occupied by black people (a handout). I am not saying that a white person would not have qualified for that handout. What ARE you saying? You sound bitter to me Not bitter at all. I am telling my life story, but it does no good because I will still be told that I was born with the silver spoon by virtue of being lightly pigmented. At least I have peace and am not angry at the world like others give the impression to be. I am sure that is all due to white privilege too. |
