Question
During his crucifixion, didn’t Jesus ask his father to intervene?

Because the person didn't say "Wait! I changed my mind!"... obviously. I'm guessing the congregation would watch and approve. I agree that by CURRENT LAW it is murder. Guess what else used to be illegal in many states: Suicide (it was a felony). ETA: But... let's remember... I'm not saying that I support sacrifice. I said very clearly that I support religions that believe in it being allowed to practice it with their own faithful. No the congregation would not and should not judge. I support religious beliefs as long as they are LEGAL. So you'd support some Muslims stoning people and honor killings because it's their "belief"?Depends. Does the person being killed agree to it? That's a core part of my belief system of fair and just laws that would also honor freedom of religion. You can't force anything on an unwilling subject. Either freedom of religion exists... or it doesn't. You can't have "freedom... except things other people, who don't share your faith, don't like". And I didn't say "watch and judge"... you didn't ask who would "Watch and judge". I would assume that if it's their religious beliefs, that they would approve.

Question During his crucifixion, didn’t Jesus ask his father to intervene? Well... yes... and no. he did ask, but not DURING the Crucifixion itself. He asked in the garden in Gethsemane.

Don’t tell my cousin who is a Priest!

Actually... I was a bit imprecise in my last answer.
The denials took place at the home of Annas a high Priest of the day... but in different places IN that house (the courtyard, the gateway, and inside)
