I like them but the way people talk/type is downright scary. Yes, we all make typos and autocorrect can make it worse. But when I see people miss spell simple words or use stuff like "R EWE" instead of 'are you' it makes me wonder about their basic intelligence.
I've seen some sentences in my time that make me wonder just what our educational system is doing.

When my boys were in 3rd grade their teachers were in shock over the fact that the entire class had trouble writing. They said the kindergarten teachers failed because that is when they are supposed to learn how to write in block print, and cursive was abandoned entirely within the public school system. Fast forward to 6th grade when I put the boys in Catholic Schools and how their handwriting is pretty good, and they know cursive. What a difference.

The quality level of schools has really gone downhill. Catholic schools are an exception to the norm.

Social media in general will be the demise of Humans. People are attached to their phones. They walk staring at them, they eat staring at them, some even drive staring at them. And from what I have experienced forums seem to give some the delusion that they are gods and know everything. And of course you have the ones that just exist to insult people. I have recently gotten back into social media and forums but mainly for research.

Fast forward to 6th grade when I put the boys in Catholic Schools and how their handwriting is pretty good, and they know cursive. What a difference. there IS a correct way to print/write every letter in the alphabet. same with numbers... ex: a 6 starts at the top then proceeds sorta counter clockwise. students should learn the proper way and do it that way until they show they have mastered it. eventually people personalize their writing style. typical HS kids (good suburban district) have difficulty reading cursive writing when it's done very well.
