Right now this 'storm' seems to not be much of anything.

I'm glad I don't live where it snows. I resent the mornings there's ice on my windshield. I'd hate to have to scrape off snow.

I don't doubt it. Any tips for quick de-icing that won't crack my windshield? Spray Windex on your windshield, let it soak into the ice/sleet/sludge and them use your ice scraper; it should come right off.. |

one ice storm (years ago) left my car with a good quarter inch solid glze of ice. could pull door handle but afraid i would totally break the door by forcing it.
called work... i'll be there when i get there.
realized i could get in... thru rear lift/hatch. was sure i could put my weight behind it from the inside... no luck. left car running and made my way back out... between front seats, over rear seat. after a good half hour running... no go! climbed back in, started to make my way to work... figured if still frozen-in, someone at the prison could help me get out! roads were sooooooo bad, wasn't out of development before deciding to head back home. had to make my way around the "block" around development... took an HOUR!!
