Try an airbnb or vrbo if you get the chance. If they have a good rating go for it. They can be an experince if you find the right one! Yeah, my son rented an airbnb when we went to St. Augustine. It was billed as "tiny house" and was more like a shed with air conditioning! lol So, that's not always all it seems! lol |

I do find reviews helpful. But, I think there is a lot of editing as well so you never really know. I tried to post a review but since we had posted a review of other Courtyards by Marriott it will not let us post a new one! So, I think they are gaming it now.

The rental sites verify the reviews and ask you to review whenever you stay. The homeowners can charge more if they have better reviews and will be kicked off if they get too many complaints. We rented a house with a hot tub for the weekend when we 4 girls went to Elephant's Trunk flea market. We each had our own rooms at the same cost as 2 rooms at the nearby hotel. It was so relaxing to soak after walking through or in the evening after dinner. You can also be rated as a renter so you have to be a good renter.
