on upper arm, up near your shoulder. if you have one, you know why you have it. on nj101.5 they were talking about forced vaccinations. from the little shared on the radio and the whole article, all i can say is OMG! www.npr.org/2011/04/05/135121451/how-the-pox-epidemic-changed-vaccination-rulessome places are saying no vaccination; no pay. some places are saying no vaccination; weekly testing. your thoughts?? |

The government cannot mandate vaccinations or it will be viewed as a communist move. So, instead, they're backdooring it and getting employers to mandate it. We are ever so slowly inching our way toward communism. I'm glad I'm on the downhill side of life and hopefully won't witness it. This is absolutely a slippery slope. As for the "vaccine", I think it's a personal choice; just like the flu shot or any other medicinal remedy. The fact is, even people who are "vaccinate" can get and can pass along the virus to others. The fact that there is a surge isn't just the "fault" of the "unvaccinated". Those who are vaccinated are now not wearing masks, not social distancing because "experts" said if they were "vaccinated", they didn't have to. Big mistake. IMO, it's the "vaccinated" ones who are culpable in this surge. i started this thread to go with the link about what happened in early 1900's over small pox. with everything going on with covid, i imagine there are some who might want mandatory vaccinations?? |

seems the US last used smallpox vaccinations in 1972. the reason i included it was to go with the link about how vaccinations were handled over 100 years ago. at some point in time, i remember a student asking what that was on my arm. that little scar really stood out if you had gotten "some sun".
babies were vaccinated against small pox along with other baby shots. pre-college physical required one. for me, it was a teeny dropper with a glass tube that was rough on the edges. a spot on my are was roughed up by the tube and the vaccine was put in those scratches. then you waited ? days to see what happened. nothing for me, but a BIG, ugly red scab when my brother got his a few years later.
teachers used to have to get a TB test periodically. at one time the applicator resembled tiny corn-on-the-cob holders, pressed into skin on arm and then a few days wait. worked with someone who always had a wild reaction to that. something to do with him being round grandparents who had TB or something like that.
that test changed to n ultra sharp/fine needle, barely under the skin, that you literally could hardly feel. i don't think they do that anymore??

What is really driving me crazy is that I followed all the guidelines, some before they were even requested, and I got my vaccination but I believe others can choose NOT too so the lectures start If YOU want the shot and YOU want to wear your mask go right ahead but don't lecture others about their choices while exercising your own choice to do those things.
