* At 237 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Long Prairie to near Paynesville, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... Sauk Centre, Melrose, Long Prairie, Albany, Paynesville, Browerville, Brooten, Belgrade, Freeport, Grey Eagle, Lake Osakis, and Little Sauk.

i don't think we've had a single BIG t-torm here in the middle of NJ. certainly no fireworks in the sky. i'm fine with t-storms as long as not out in one. many years ago, had 2 dobies... mother/daughter team that was TERRIFIED of t-storms. i was on I-95 and the rain was so horrible, i pulled over under an overpass. i know that's not a terribly safe thing to do, but the rain was that bad. had dogs... in back seat of my Datsun. part of the reason i pulled off the road was both were trying their hardest to get up in front seat on my lap!
