I've been to England and found it beautiful. I've been to Canada and Mexico. Both very pretty places. I went to Punta Cana for a wedding. It was nice until you left the property. I always brought coins and snacks for the kids who were always around to "help". That part broke my heart. We have a trip to Ireland planned for our anniversary in two years. I have some cousins I'd like to meet.

I was still incredibly shy so I went for a lot of walks. Ireland sounds incredible. I’ve never been there.

And we’ve been to St Kitts
The resort is lovely, but as soon as you leave the grounds, reality sets in. I understand that many places rely on tourists to support their economy…
But still…

Those lucky enough to work on or near the resorts rely on tips and handouts. The resorts do not pay a lot and the hours these employees have to work are grueling. We had a butler (that's what they called it) in charge of getting us anything we needed. He was about 22 or 23 and told us about the competition for jobs. They at least were well tipped but the other employees live off their small wages and the tips people leave at the end of their stay. We tipped everyone very well but there were other guest who treated them like slave labor.

Americans are actually fought over because they are more generous. Lot's of the guest acting ugly weren't American at all although there were some. It was nice to be waited on but I got tired of it very quickly. People hovering get on my nerves.

There is plenty of "ugly" from every country on the planet.

I don't really think about places I don't want to visit. I mean, if I don't want to visit there, I don't spend time thinking about how i don't want to visit there

But the cliche is “ugly American.” Yes, made up by nasty arse people who seem to really like taking American money however.
