Why is there not a setting that allows people to lurk but disallows guest posting?

Well the board is open or not. if it's closed then possible newbies can't see it. If it's open then they can post GEEZ! you wanna fight about everything, dontcha?!? i was only saying, if i ran this f-ing circus, i'd be doing a lot of tweaking. if i wanted membership to grow, i'd rein in the wild things... i think taming only ONE would bring others back to earth. i would definitely want potential members/contributors to see what goes on here so they could decide if it was a good fit for them. some boards limit certain areas of a board to new members until they have a certain number of posts. letting people post without being a member just leaves things wide-open for trolling. Wtf! I wasn't fighting about anything. I simply answered with facts. What's your problem! |
