Then it was like they started to run out of material, creating evil villains etc. Not being that into vehicle status, I really like my DW's small Chevy Cruze. Now that she is fully retired, more often than not I will drive her little car into town instead of my truck if I don't need to haul something. It's really easy to park and use. It sure rides nicer than the truck. |

@jma23 , first car that didn't make me think i was laying in the street was a Chevy Tracker... like 2000-2001. with no warning engine "imploded" when timing belt/chain completely destroyed the engine. had lousy warranty... wasn't even paid for yet! then got a Hyundai Sante Fe '04 and had that til very beginning of 2000... when someone plowed into the back as i sat at a dead stop. Kelly Blue Book value as a trade was very LOW "3 figures"... like $300 once declared totaled... had a little over $3500 to go shopping with. got a 2017 Hyundai Tucson and have been very pleased with it. i have no real idea what kind of mileage it gets... haven't put much more than 3500 miles on it since i got it... only had it a few months when covid rode into town... don't think i've had it above 60 for more than a few minutes at a time and then only for short distances... haven't even had opportunity to use cruise control. ETA: now i just realized i LIED about this! actually just forgot vehicle before TRacker. i've had several cars the first/last year they ever existed. i had an Eagle Summit Wagon. i called it a mini-mini-van. 3 side doors... one that slid open... and back "hatch"??

I had a Hyundai Entourage van but it was huge and a little bigger than I needed so I traded it in for a 2019 Mazda 5. It's a sporty little thing but seats six comfortably. Just what I wanted.

small suvs are not gas hogs. my car gets good mileage. Maybe some of the newer models I have a Corolla Guess who likes to run up on my arse when I’m doing 70 in a 55 mph zone? your last sentence? have NO idea what you're trying to say there?? |
