Rusty , haven't been to OC MD in decades. last time the main drag was 1-2 lanes in each direction. the cleanest beach. i remember these trucks with a huge sifter on the back to pick out any bits of trash. french fries with malt vinegar... boardwalk staple.

I lived in Maryland for 38 years and have never been to Ocean City. I lived in the same state for most of my life and haven't been to all the wonderful places right here. Then we moved to Colorado for my job in the 1997. We visited everywhere in CO. There was so much to see and it was all new. Then when we moved back to our home state we went to them here. I think it's because it all felt new again after so long. |

Never stopped in Maryland (drove through it a few times though).
Way back, in prehistoric times, when I was a kid, we "summered" in Wildwood, NJ... and they have (well... had... it's been a few decades, so things may have changed) a pretty snazzy boardwalk.

I went there once. It is nice. Not as ran down as Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach. |

Yes. I prefer Bethany Beach better. More family-like feel. Rehoboth is nice, too.

Was curious to what some of the hotels were charging in 2021. Had my honeymoon with my ex( lol) there in 1982 and a room ran about $80-100
Now it above $300@ night. Guess I won't be going back unless I hit the Powerball
