Do you tip at hotels? I usually tip daily. Was there from Thurs until today and got NO service at all so did not leave a housekeeping tip.

No need to tip in that case I don't understand why don't they have tipping envelopes in hotel rooms? Like sometimes you don't know where to put a tip and you don't always have a pen to write a note or indicate it is for them.

I'm a soft touch though. Even if they didn't come in and clean every day I tip as if they did at 5 dollars a day.

I used to tip at the end of the stay but found it better to tip daily. They seemed to do a better job. I was going to leave $5 but honestly it was really that unclean when I arrived and they couldn't even empty my trash can I didn't. I almost always leave something so this is really the first time I didn't. I also sent an email to Marriott when I got home. I am sure I will get the "oh so sorry" form letter. I really don't care if someone is "sorry". How about listening and at least doing a better job for the next customer? I am not a 'karen" so not looking for some hotel perfection. My standards are not that high. Mostly, I don't care that much about my hotel room because mostly we just sleep and shower there and are off doing other things. I don't want it to be in my mind at all. So, if when we arrive the beds are made and the bathroom is reasonably clean and it looks like there was some effort to make it presentable , I am good to go. And mostly just collect my dirty towels and trash. The rest of the stuff can slide and I will still give some tip
