I tip almost all in serving food. But depends on service if it is a dollar or more.

I tip even bad service. I figure they were probably having a bad day. You never know when they'll be serving you again and I don't care for spit (or worse) in my food.

I tip almost always. I am at least glad someone is working rather than being a govt slug. I have rarely left no.tip

this is a total BAIT BAIT BAIT BAIT post. lilly never tips. she's always looking for ways to glom free food. if you read any of her NUMEROUS threads about eating out... vast majority are whiny complaints. any excuse not to leave even a piss poor tip.

If you expect to receive a decent gratuity in a service business, you need to give good service.
I treat all servers with respect and politeness, regardless on how the act.
The only difference is what's on the table when I leave.

I always TIP Do you realize that most servers make LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE? i've never worked in a restaurant in my life. i do know that the wage is well under minimum but then they get tips. it seems to me... NO link... NO sources to back this up... than if they had to make a choice, servers would take that lousy minimum PLUS tips than a higher minimum wage ($15/hr) and NO tips. i hear stories of food going to lousy/non-tippers is sometimes "altered"... iykwim!? i don't doubt it and certainly wouldn't wanna risk it.  |
