Based on mere anecdotal evidence, message boards that were ran by conservatives (ex. here, DYBT) tend to be more accepting of opposing views than boards ran by liberals (ex. MGJ). Have you had a different experience? I find this assessment incorrect. Conservative boards are intolerant to liberal views and conservatives often troll liberal boards or present crazy opinions that are easy to oppose. No one has to tolerate lies just because it's said by a conservative. I know at least two conservative boards where liberal ideas are allowed to be expressed. You are at one of them. |

Why do liberals have to tolerate the big lie, that Biden is senile, that liberals are socialists and communists or the anti LGBTQ, xenophobia and racism? I've seen plenty of liberal boards that tolerate conservative views if they make sense. And that's the problem, much of what conservative believe don't make sense and is not true. |

I've been banned on conservative boards and in almost every single one of them have read posts filled with the most vile racist garbage to include racial slurs. I find it interesting that the Left is engaging in censorship with such zeal. If you wish to paint all conservative ideas as "racist", then I guess you may. But there is NOTHING racist about law and order, enforcing immigration laws, voter ID requirements and such. You want to paint it with that brush. We can disagree. I am not blocking you nor are you blocking me so I think these are healthy conversations to have.
