Roe was a poorly written decision and SCOTUS overstepped. Their job is to determine constitutionality of a law, and the only subject matter where they have original jurisdiction is involving matters of disputes between states and/or cases involving ambassadors or public ministers. Roe codified abortion, which was a violation of their own doctrine established in the early 1800's, in Marbury vs. Madison. It needed to go.

If Congress wants to legalize abortion at the federal level, let them draft a bill and follow proper procedure.
