Thanks I have a crockpot but don’t use it Our kitchen is unbelievably cramped Why don't you use your crockpot? It's the easiest thing in the world. I have a turkey breast in mine right now. Very easy to cook a piece of meat to shred for sandwiches, tacos, etc. Larry has HIS toaster grill and coffeemaker on the counter Microwave on the opposite counter We also have a bread maker My goal for the fall will be to finally use my crockpot

I have a small kitchen but on old cabinet that I use for my gadgets keep it all out of sight while not in use. My kitchen isn't that big either. But the garage is attached and I have an entire area of shelving for all of my kitchen gadgets, baking stuff, rice cooker, etc

The easiest way to use it is to prep it the day before, then put the insert in the fridge over night. Then, when you get up in the morning, just put it in and turn it on. No fuss no muss. Regarding breadmakers, we did have one. It is handy. However, makes a pretty dense loaf I think. SOmetimes that is great but other times, i would rather just bake my own bread. My Kitchen Aid mixer is on the counter all the time

wish those little "camping" type TVs still worked. had one that was TV and am/fm radio. could plug in or run on batteries. had one that came in very handy on rare occasion of no power. little, 4", B&W screen. I know, right? I used to keep one in my office so that if a special report came through, I'd be able to watch it live. I watched the second plane crash into the twin tower live. It was frightening. Now everything is digitized and my little analog TV is useless. I have one that is supposed to be able to run digitized TV but the reception is really iffy and the local network stations don't usually come through. Add my instant pot to the list. it wouldn't even have to be in color for as often as used. i killed the one i had by forgetting to remove all those D batteries after the last use.

What appliances does you instant pot replace? when i was doing a MAJOR downsizing... had a small crockpot, a large oval crockpot and an old-school pressure cooker. both crockpots came from thrift stores or yard sales. i go rid of all 3... donated to GW. bought the Aldi version of instantpot. i don't use it every day or even every week, but it has earned a hunk of counter space. i like that you can brown/saute stuff. you can brown the beef for chili or stew or soup and then just dump in rest of ingredients. can't grill (apt complex rules ) so ribs go in. no babysitting needed.

I would love a Kitchen Aide mixer Soooo , buy one? my sil FORCED me to buy one years ago. she had gotten herself an early christmas present... she makes a deadly chocolate chiffon cake! she MADE me take hers home after t-dy dinner with promise to return it the following weekend. i made double batches of chocolate chip, gingerbread, peanut butter and (can't remember). one batch after the other, with butter straight out of fridge. no waiting for "room temp". only physical work was measuring and dumping the ingredients. i returned hers and bought on for myself on the way home. once weather starts cooling down, i make pizza on weekends. dough makes itself!
