I'm still waiting for a quote where someone said they opposed Juneteenth. People have said it was a stupid name And WHY do we need a HOLIDAY FOR THAT?! It IS a stupid name. That's why some people say that it is a stupid name. |

Exactly. I don't oppose the IDEA. I just oppose the stupid name and the fact that it's "celebrated" on an irrelevant day where nothing of merit actually happened. Just proved my point Nope. I proved that it's a stupid name and celebrated on an irrelevant day... I never suggested that I am opposed to celebrating the end of slavery. Matter of fact, I'm all for celebrating it. |

And given the fact that The colonists did not defeat the British on July 4, 1776 why is anyone bitching about the date of the celebration? The answer is obvious. |
