I made chicken and gravy in the crockpot (smells so good) and fresh green beans and carrots from the garden. Potatoes are peeled and sitting in cold water ready to go for mashed potatoes. A loaf of bread rising on the counter for fresh out of the oven bread later. I can't decide between peaches and cream or ice cream sundaes for dessert.

@happycamper, my sil does this interesting thing with crock pot and oven-stuffer roaster. when the chickens are on sale, she'll buy 5-6 of them. she washes them out well, wraps really well and pops into freezer. she'll put a rock-hard, frozen bird in crock pot and pour bottle of fat free Italian dressing over. slaps on lid and out the door for work. it's close to falling apart when she gets home from work and has produced a LOT of tasty broth. the juice could become some gravy. she will often make chicken noodle soup with it.
