don't know if it'll be a total keeper but doubt it'll be any major fail... french fried avocado! recently bought a bag of those "mini" avos from aldi. they were like rocks and easily took a week to get soft enough to consider cutting. they stay very green inside and super firm even when dead ripe. i usually cross-cut the fruit, but just went pole-to-pole to get something at leas resembling sticks. they went into beaten egg with a GENEROUS amount of Frank's red hot... figured that would stop browning. will be tossed in well-seasoned crumbs and fried quickly in very hot oil. taking pics and will try to post later whether great or crappy result.
wondering what would be a good dipping sauce? guess can't go wrong with ranch?

Thousand Island for me ! We always have avocados in the house, I could see cutting up the big ones into strips and doing the same.

Do you dip your fried possum in it? that's just ridiculous. it's always/only teriyaki for marsupials.

somewhere recently someone was talking about how some food cause odd sensation in mouth/throat. breaded/fried avo wedges did the same to me as breaded/fried eggplant. not a terrible sensation and short-lived.

classic example of SOB and please, oh PLEASE don't ask what they taste like! What's SOB mean? I can only think of one thing and it doesn't make sense in this context.
