I try not to lie but there are times when telling the truth will hurt someone (no matter how good a friend they might be). I will tell them what they want to hear unless it's very important or life altering. Bad haircut you like: "It suits you" not technically a lie because she likes it. Some one is dying or hurting someone else: You get the truth as gently as possible.

I don't lie. I find life to be much simpler that way. Honesty is the best way to go. Of course situations happen where a lie van inadvertently happens. Lying only works against you in the end. Easier to remember what actually happens to you than the lie you made up. I feel sorry for the continual liars, and the stress they put on themselves. |
