One year ago, the Donald released 5000 Taliban fighters in exchange for a cease-fire to help his flailing presidential campaign, despite strenuous objections from both the Pentagon and the Afghan government. President Ashraf Ghani warned that their release would be a "danger to the world."
We are finding out that many of these fighters entering Kabul, such as Mawlavi Talib, are top Taliban commanders who oversaw the shineyhineyaults of the key cities this week. And they go up from there.
The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal. You have a legitimate source for this I presume... (for the record: CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, et cetera are NOT "legitimate sources"). Even a ssuming that it is true however, this post PROVES that this mess is BIDEN'S. "Mid August" is NOT "May 1, 2021". Anyone with a brain knew withdrawing would be messy and that the Taliban would take Afghanistan back as soon as we left. Whatever conditions Trump agreed to likely would have resulted in a smoother transition... had his timeline been followed. Oh, and he didn't have a "Flailing campaign". That's more of your famous leftist propaganda (and one reason why your post is suspect)
