Back from the groomers. Millie was there for TWO hours. Enough hair came off to build another dog. The groomer also found a sore on the bottom of her foot and one under her left arm pit so I took pictures to send to the vet. They said use antibiotic cream but if they don't get better in a few days to bring her in. Never a dull moment. But Millie looks SO much better. It's been a years since she was groomed. When Archie got sick everything stopped. Allie will be going next month.

 Good afternoon all. Busy morning so just now getting to sit down and have coffee. Another beautiful day here with a great breeze. I love having the windows open. And for a change it's nice and cool. No plans for the day, our cat Snoopy has an ugly sore for a mat of hair so we might take him to the vet. I sent a picture to them and waiting to hear back. We cleaned it and gave him an antibiotic so that might be enough. Other than that, just going to enjoy the day. Have a wonderful one gang! |

Got dogs food in the over. Cut up a chuck roast along with peas, carrots and green beans. Then added 1/2 brown rice and salt free beef broth. I'll cook it low and slow until done.  And it looked so good I'm making a pot roast for us humans tomorrow. |

 It is a CHILLY start to the day here at 46o but it's supposed to warm up to close to 80o with possible showers. We have full  for now though. Fall is in the air for sure.
Justbec, Hope Snoopy is doing okay. How is Millie doing with her sores?
No plans for the day. This is the first of my four days off with my new schedule. I'll just be puttering around and trying to get some laundry done if not today then tomorrow for sure. Went out to dinner yesterday with a friend. It was nice to get out for a couple hours after work.

 Good afternoon all. Another busy morning. Was on the phone with the vet. They never got the original email. But they finally got a look a the picture of Snoopy and want to see him. So we will do a drop off tomorrow morning and she will check him in between appointments. Also have a 'wellness' doctor appointment tomorrow at 1. I love my doctor but I am tired of seeing the medical profession. Ugh. No plans for today though. Going to make pot roast for dinner. I was just in the mood for it today. Anyway, that's my day.  Good morning everyone. We were up early today so hubby could drop Snoopy off at the vet to have him checked. Going to be a busy day. I have a Doctor's appointment at 1:20 and then a Mammogram after that. Then hopefully we can go pick up Snoopy. Also have to cook for the dogs when I get home. So right now having my coffee and vegging while I can. Have a great day gang! |

 Good morning! Well, it sure was a chilly, brisk start to the day with a temp at 45o when I awoke just before 7. Now, it's in the upper 50s with a high expected to be upper 60s to low 70s. But, we have lots of
Nothing on the agenda for the day other than a few chores, watering indoor plants, dishes, bed, etc. I might go to the open air market but not sure yet. That's it for me. Boring, I know!

It's been a week and not a good finish to the work week for me on Wednesday. The whole week was full of crazies and rude people but Wednesday made me sad. A regular customer, there three, four days a week, was caught shoplifting. She has a young son, around 6 or 7. He and I play hide and seek and goof around. She and I chat about life and stuff. I was floored when the loss prevention guy approached my coworker and me, as the woman was self scanning on unit a little farther away from us. She apparently brought store bags in with her and loaded up some stuff in the aisles as he was watching. When he first told me I thought it was food items and after my shock that it was her, I remembered her saying how she lives paycheck to paycheck and does doordash to subsidize. The loss prevention guy wanted me to go with him as she left the store to bring her back in to confront her. I just couldn't given how well I know her, even though I don't know her name. So, the other monitor did it. Turns out, what she was stealing was cat food and stuff like that to the tune of $65 that day. Now, we don't prosecute under $100 so they kept the items and let her go. However, they can go back months to build a case. Turns out, she did the same thing the day before and apparently many more times that we didn't catch as we were busy with other customers. UGH! SO, at this point, they are going to prosecute. I was sick to my stomach. She's a nice woman but, I then remembered her telling me she feeds all the strays in the neighborhood. I get it but seriously, if you can't afford to do it, why risk jail time with a young child at home? Anyway . . .
Today, is a beautiful day. This whole week, weatherwise, has been just spectacular with cool nights and warmer days. Nothing on the agenda for me but may do some running around just to get out for a bit. Who knows.
