I think our government uses race to divide us. Only the Democrat side uses race. The Republican side prefers to divide us by class/wealth. Both sides do love to divide us though. They are just divided on how best to divide.

No, it is rightfully blamed on whiteness. Because whiteness opposes the 1619 Project while making this garbage required. So all white people are to blame for this? Your comment is an example of white fragility. Defensiveness when whiteness is called out. You asked a stupid question, because there are whites such as Joe Feagin who are part of the 1619 Project. The opposition comes from right wing whites. So now let's not get stupid like is done on the right by automatically making references to racist whites mean all whites.

When I went to school some 40+ years ago, the textbooks we had to study from never once mention black immigration. We were taught about slavery. I was taught about the triangle trade and how they packed ships with slaves like sardines in a can. I never heard one mention of them being immigrants. Well it's being done now.

I think our government uses race to divide us. We are the government and our hisory shows that citizens have elected racists into office to enact laws and policies to deny rights based on race. That's why trump was elected and it is why right wing republicans like Golmert, Sdcalise, Gozar, Green, Brooks, Johnson, Jordan and others are in elected office.

Oh my gladiolus And that is an INTELLIGENT response? How else should I interpret “no, it is rightfully blamed on whiteness?” Whiteness is a particular attitude held by a group within the white community. You know that as a white person. Stop being silly.

I think our government uses race to divide us. Of course they are. And the media complex is backing them. The government is elected by us. The media reports what we do. The problem of race is due to racist people in our society and racists who run institutions in our society.

Stop being silly. How do you know the race of people using anonymous forum names? Anyway, per the dictionary: Definition of whiteness: 1 : the quality or state of being white: such as a : white color The whiteness of a diamond is the most important factor, unless you're buying a fancy color like yellow or pink. — The New York Times Style Magazine b : PALLOR, PALENESS … watching the way … his stomach hung pregnant over his belt, the whiteness of his skin, the blueness of his veins … — Zadie Smith c : freedom from stain : CLEANNESS During the day, housewives pegged out billowing sheets, knowing that here in the tough North they were judged on clean linen and the whiteness of the front doorstep … — Paul West 2 : something (such as an area or a substance) that is white in color … this widening in the river, a place indistinguishable in winter from the surrounding whiteness … — John Hildebrand The curtains were being drawn across the aeroplane windows; a screen was lowered at the head of the cabin; images flickered on the whiteness ahead. — Shashi Tharoor This is a gelid whiteness, studded with a few bits of … fruit and altogether devoid of discernible flavor or sweetness. — Jay Jacobs 3 : the fact or state of belonging to a population group that has light pigmentation of the skin : the fact or state of being white (see WHITE entry 1 sense 2a) Racial or color categories communicate the long-standing color scale in which lightness/whiteness is more desirable and more socially valued than darkness/blackness. — Nadine Fernandez Did I yearn to convert to whiteness? As a child, if it had been a matter of pushing a button, there were times when I would have pushed it as idly and insistently as a man waiting for an elevator. — Kenji Yoshino The proposition that whiteness, as such, has no content but is rather a negation, the identity of not-being-black, is a shocking revelation to most white Americans, who continue to imagine that there is a nonracist way of defining their whiteness in positive terms, although they are tongue-tied when asked to say what it is. — Orlando Patterson www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/whiteness

I am interested in seeing how one claims that from a non-liberal perspective.

It's not nearly as prevalent recently... but historically speaking, Republicans preferred giving tax cuts to the rich, and sucking money from the poor (mostly by cutting benefits or the like, not necessarily from collecting nonexistent tax monies). There are still some of those Republicans around.

And it's pretty easy to tell a persons race online. Nothing is 100 percent but there are some sentiments heard in all conversations on race that indicate if you are white or a person of color.

Exactly true about a poster’s race
Anyone can lie about themselves online
But most people slip up
And the truth comes out

Of course they are. And the media complex is backing them. Not Biden El Dumpo tried to divide Americans It’s going to take a little more time to repair the damage he instigated January 6th for example Several things: 1> You just show your own ignorance of reality when you say factually baseless things like "Trump tried to divide Americans". If he was so divisive... why did he get a higher PERCENTAGE of the black vote in 2020 (8%) than he did in 2016 (12%)? If he was such a divisive racist, you would think that his black support would have gone DOWN. 2> His name is "Trump". Calling him ignorant insults like "El Dumpo" is the act of a 6 year old. 3> Trump did not create the problem that happened January 6th. 4> It's going to take a lot of time to repair the damage that Obama began, and that racists (like im2) are continuing to perpetrate.
