My SIL was just here. She was telling me about their step-grandmother's children. Apparently SIL's grandfather died and the step-grandmother's children took over so FIL and his sister never saw a dime. Not unusual when someone remarries someone with children. At any rate, after step grandmother died the children cleaned out grandpa's house. FIL went in to see if any of his father's stuff was still there but it was all gone. Even bed sheets where packed up, leaving just mattresses on the floor. The kids took a big trip to Hawaii, apparently on the inheritance. And karma kicked in and they all died within a year or two.

Mom died two weeks before her 70th birthday

Dad moved from KC to Indy and spent his last 18 months with my youngest brother who lived in a McMansion in Greenwood

He had a heart attack and 2 strokes
Went to Rehab

All he wanted to do was be with Mom

SIL & I talked about her father and that witch he married. They took DH off their will. She said they claim my boys are included, but I doubt it. I told her it won't matter, because if he goes before the witch, she'll change it and neither her nor anyone else in the family will see a dime, it will go to witch's family. She agreed.
