If one can actually be “friends” on a message board, my favorites are Lilly, HappyCamper, and Fuzzems. I wouldn't brag about having lilly or happycamper as a friend. Fuzzems on the other hand is a good sane person. We disagree on many things but not everything. Fuzzems is the most conservative of the three. Maybe you are open to opposing views.

And I believe that both of us don’t completely buy into the liberal narrative concerning such things, but are more willing to acknowledge that the incidents that have taken place are wrong than some conservatives.

There is no liberal narrative. But there is more than 100 years worth of evidence that supports views you call liberal narratives. I am open to views based on fact. Also recognize that I know the difference between a conservative and a right wing extremist. There are some things about issues like law enforcement that whites whether liberal or conservative don't want to believe. What happened to George Floyd shook that up somewhat but still we have those like you who want to talk about liberal narratives and what you don't believe because basivally you don't want to.

I joined one and all was fine until the harrassimg posts and pms started.I turned people in and got them banned for also stalking me .The regs on the board didn't like me fighting back and ruining their games at all. They started pulling all sorts of nasty tricks like making nasty posts and I would turn them in and they would delete the posts! One gal made it her mission to constantly dog all of my posts and threads and get her minions to follow suit and take things out of context and get the threads locked or moved. And the admin would pm me and complain and literally cuss me out because she would be swamped with pms complaining about my posts or threads.I lasted one year on that board and was banned right before the Trump election in 2016.I had no warning and only found out after being gone one weekend .It was an open board so that was how I found out.I was always being accused of spamming, cramming ,not talking about my family or throwong them under the bus for board fodder. And I never talked about whereI lived or health issues. Paragraphs are your friend I can’t read a solid wall of text i think i'm safe in saying, neither of us is a "grammar/punctuation Nazi, but a little spacing would be nice. wish i could make the line spacing 1.5... double spaced might be too too.

I believe that there are bad police officers and police agencies that are problematic based on having a history of bad police officers. I do not buy that law enforcement in general targets black people. We all get pulled over for broken taillights. Traffic cops can be a pain in the butt. When a black person is pulled over, how many black people drove by that day and did not get pulled over? It is not honest dialogue to paint with a broad brush.

When a black person is pulled over, how many black people drove by that day and did not get pulled over? It is not honest dialogue to paint with a broad brush. You're wrong. I sit on a task force here that studies police harrassment. Police stop blacks here at least 4 times more than whites. It's not painting with a broad brush when evidence shows thiings are disproportionately happening to your population. The police in America have a very long record of racism in it's history. Study after study shows racism in law enforcement. It's time some whites stopped denying things. There’s overwhelming evidence that the criminal justice system is racist. Here’s the proof. A massive study published in May 2020 of 95 million traffic stops by 56 police agencies between 2011 and 2018 found that while black people were much more likely to be pulled over than whites, the disparity lessens at night, when police are less able to distinguish the race of the driver. The study also found that blacks were more likely to be searched after a stop, though whites were more likely to be found with illicit drugs. The darker the sky, the less pronounced the disparity between white and black motorists. The study also found that in states that had legalized marijuana, the racial disparity narrowed but was still significant. An August 2019 study published by the National Academy of Sciences based on police-shooting databases found that between 2013 and 2018, black men were about 2.5 times more likely than white men to be killed by police, and that black men have a 1-in-1,000 chance of dying at the hands of police. Black women were 1.4 more times likely to be killed than white women. Latino men were 1.3 to 1.4 times more likely to be killed than white men. Latino women were between 12 percent and 23 percent less likely to be killed than white women. A 2019 study of 11,000 police stops over about four weeks in the District found that while black people make up 46 percent of the city’s population, they accounted for 70 percent of police stops, and 86 percent of stops that didn’t involve traffic enforcement. An October 2019 report in the Los Angeles Times found that during traffic stops, “24% of black drivers and passengers were searched, compared with 16% of Latinos and 5% of whites.” The same study also found that police were slightly more likely to find drugs, weapons or other contraband among whites. A national study of misdemeanor arrests published in 2018 in the Boston University Law Review found that the “black arrest rate is at least twice as high as the white arrest rate for disorderly conduct, drug possession, simple assault, theft, vagrancy, and vandalism. The black arrest rate for prostitution is almost five times higher than the white arrest rate, and the black arrest rate for gambling is almost ten times higher.” According to a Justice Department study released in 2013, throughout the United States, black drivers are about 30 percent more likely to be pulled over than white drivers. Black drivers are also more likely to be pulled over for alleged mechanical or equipment problems with their automobiles, or for record checks. White people are actually more likely to get pulled over for noticeable traffic violations such as speeding. Black drivers are more likely to not be told why they were pulled over. Between 2001 and 2013, blacks and Latinos made up 51 percent of the population of New York City, but about 80 percent of the misdemeanor arrests and summonses. In 2016, the ACLU of Florida released a report that found that black drivers in that state were twice as likely to be pulled over for seat-belt violations as white drivers. Black people are consistently arrested, charged and convicted of drug crimes including possession, distribution and conspiracy at far higher rates than white people. This, despite research showing that both races use and sell drugs at about the same rate. A 2020 ACLU report found that even in the era of marijuana reform, black people are more than 3½ times more likely to be arrested for marijuana offenses than whites. The report also found that “in every state and in over 95% of counties with more than 30,000 people in which at least 1% of the residents are Black, Black people are arrested at higher rates than white people for marijuana possession.” This, again, despite ample data showing both races use the drug at similar rates. www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/opinions/systemic-racism-police-evidence-criminal-justice-system/#DrugWarI can keep going. It's time some whites dropped the arrogance and began listening. Just because you don't want to believe something does't mean it's untrue.

Unless you are Black You really don’t understand I just want my white privilege when my headlight goes out. You have that already. It's funny how you think. Everything you post is right in line with right wing racist thought but you say you're not that. You don't think yoi have white privilege becauae yiur ass got stopped one time for a busted taillight. I've been stopped nearly 100 time for nothing. In broad daylight. No busted tail liht, no speeding, nothing but DWB.So ease off on the snark. Because you do not face what blacks do regarding law enforcement or anything else no matter what you don't want to believe. Consider this when you decide that what blacks and people talk about racism in policing. . On July 17, 2016 Annalisa Merelli wrote an article on the quartz.com web site titled, “ More black people were killed by US police in 2015 than were lynched in the worst year of Jim Crow.” The title speaks for itself. Take a look at some of the facts she presents: “According to the historic record “Lynchings, white and negroes” (pdf) kept by Alabama’s Tuskegee University, a total of 2,911 black Americans were lynched between 1890 and 1965, when the so-called Jim Crow laws were enforced. Beginning in the 1890s, these racist laws segregated black Americans in several states until about 1965. During this time, black Americans were often victims of unspeakable violence, and infamous extrajudicial lynchings.” “On an average, 39 black people were lynched per year under Jim Crow. In 1892, the worst year, 161 black Americans were lynched.”
“More than a century later, the numbers have hardly improved. In 2015, 258 black people were killed by US police, representing over 26% of deaths.”
“For 2016, the trend seems similar. As of July 7, US police have shot dead 509 people this year, of whom 123 were black.”“Even counting only the deaths of black people who were unarmed, the results are staggering. A conservative count puts that death toll at 38, right in line with the average during Jim Crow.”In 2006, the FBI warned America about the infiltration of white supremacists into police departments. They were able to do so by using what are called ghost skins to apply for jobs in police departments. A ghost skin is a white supremacist who hides his/her white supremacist beliefs to blend into society and covertly help to further a racist agenda. These ghost skins operate in every occupation in America society, such is why claims of racism being in the past remains untrue. But the fact that white supremacists are wearing badges, are handed guns and given permission to end lives based on their discretion should concern all truly anti racist people. “Although white supremacist groups have historically engaged in strategic efforts to infiltrate and recruit from law enforcement communities, current reporting on attempts reflects self-initiated efforts by individuals, particularly among those already within law enforcement ranks, to volunteer their professional resources to white supremacist causes with which they sympathize.”Danielle Schulkin, White Supremacist Infiltration of US Police Forces: Fact-Checking National Security Advisor O’Brien, June 1, 2020, www.justsecurity.org/70507/white-supremacist-infiltration-of-us-police-forces-fact-checking-national-security-advisor-obrien/Alice Speri, The FBI Has Quietly Investigated White Supremacist Infiltration Of Law Enforcement, The Intercept, January 31 2017, theintercept.com/2017/01/31/the-fbi-has-quietly-investigated-white-supremacist-infiltration-of-law-enforcement/Michael German, Hidden in Plain Sight: Racism, White Supremacy, and Far-Right Militancy in Law Enforcement, August 27, 2020, Brennan Center for Justice, www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/hidden-plain-sight-racism-white-supremacy-and-far-right-militancy-law“White Supremacist Infiltration of Law Enforcement”, Federal Bureau of Investigation, 17 October 2006, oversight.house.gov/sites/democrats.oversight.house.gov/files/White_Supremacist_Infiltration_of_Law_Enforcement.pdf Annalisa Merelli, More black people were killed by US police in 2015 than were lynched in the worst year of Jim Crow, July 7, 2016, qz.com/726245/more-black-people-were-killed-by-us-police-in-2015-than-were-lynched-in-the-worst-year-of-jim-crow/I'm beyond arguing using my opinion. There is evidence that exists that shows there are white supremacists wearing police uniforms. So you can whine about a broad brush all you want, but nobody is painting a picture, we are holding up mirrors for people to face reality.
