for produce... fresh is always superior... frozen is sometimes the only alternative, so it'll make do... canned is only for beans (kidneys, garbanzos, etc) and tomato products.
can you think of any veggie you've never seen frozen? lettuce doesn't count. have never seen frozen beets or cabbage.
how about canned veggies" have never seen canned Brussels sprouts or cauliflower.

Somethings been trying to dig into the chicken yard the last couple of nights so I put out the cage trap baited with shrimp tails.
Big possum in there this morning.
Cat kept walking over and hissing at it.
Anyone need one for stew tonight ?

Going into town later. I'll be checking the roads for flan's raccoons. a while back, people in phily burbs were told to contact (can't remember who) if they saw dad raccoon on road side. rise in rabies cases. they wanted to find out of that pick-up wasn't the only cause of death. |

We had a round of rabies go through our area a couple of years ago. The game and fish told us that of you see them out and about in the daytime, good chance they are rabid, especially if they wander in circles etc. If you can safely get close to them, check for watery wet eyes, or discharge from the mouth. They asked for anyone that can, to shoot them, if they present those symptoms. I have never seen any at that time. |
