My friend's daughter got lice when she was 5. She was mortified. She was a germaphobe. It happens. But that's the only person I knew who had it. I think there were some cases in the boys' preschool and maybe kindergarten, but they never got it. #1 had cradle cap when he was an infant but I used some medicine shampoo and cleared it right up.

When I was a kid I heard you can also get it from the seats at movie theaters. Back when they used cloth I think.
Nice that black hair repels lice. I hear rosemary does, too, so I used to add a little essential oil in the boys' shampoo back when I bathed them.
