For me, the problem with a movie based on history is that the audience already knows the story so they have to care about the main characters

@flan327, HS girls came into school following movie opening... they "literally died" when the ship sank!?! i know they were "kids" (teens) but that's horrible that they had no idea how the movie was gonna end!

I saw Rent on Broadway but don't remember crying. It's possible I did. We were in the second row with an empty front row, and Drew Lachay was the narrator. He was sweating up there and I was wishing I hadn't sat so close because I was afraid his sweat would drip on me. I was a germaphobe even then. I think that distracted me from the storyline a little.
