Fuzzems, i have a feeling that there are MANY adults who think they're actually getting "baby" carrots to snack on but they're NOT. those cute little carrots come from carrots that end up broken or damaged from the fields. nobody will buy them cuz they're not pretty. they would have ended up at someplace like as canned veggies or in pet food. Lol,I just bought a big bag of peeled baby carrots!Great in roasts! |

They're regular UGLY carrot, they scrape down to small sizes then sell them to you by calling them baby carrots.

no they aren't, ya dope! unless they have the greens still on, and skins still on and are only 3-4 inches long, odds are they're not. and if you say yours have greens on, i frankly woll NOT believe you at all actually! most "baby" carrots are perfectly edible yet incredibly ugly carrots that peopl just would not buy to eat themselves. now there's a cahin of command, of sorts, for a lot of food items. starting at the top... perfect stuff, for people, highest price. eventually we get to the bottom... pet foods and then animal feed and fertilizer. those cute little carrots that everybody loves get tumbled and shaped for eye appeal. www.carrotmuseum.co.uk/babycarrot.htmli suspect (and am probably correct) that those veggie noodle were from sweet potatoes, squash, beets that were Miss Congeniality. or that cauliflower "rice" and broccoli "slaw" (that's the tree trunks, for sure) came by the same route. i'm not saying i know everything, nor that i'm a "know it all", but i do think i probably know a hell of a lot more stuff than the average person, and always ope to learn more. |
